Welcome to the DAC website!
The Dunfermline Airgun Club (a Police Scotland approved club) was established 1984 as the main airgun club for the Dunfermline and Fife area. Over the years the club has grown in size and we now have members from all over Scotland, our current member subscription is over 50.
All members are covered by the clubs Insurance subject to the observance of the club rules and the insurer’s terms and conditions while on the club grounds.
Air Gun (Weapon) Licensing Update
As of 1st of Jan 2017 ALL airguns (in Scotland) now have to be held under an AWC. With respect to this Legislation it has been decided by Dunfermline Airgun Club that anybody who wishes to shoot / compete at DAC must hold an AWC that allows them to use an air weapon.
NO AWC = NO SHOOTING (Exceptions for Hosted HFT shoots, Please ask the Club Secretary for more info: dlowrie@webblowrie.co.uk).
Please note that if you do not have your AWC with you, you will not be allowed to shoot and will be asked to leave the ground.
Producing your document at a previous competition is NOT acceptable – We ask you have your certificate with you while shooting on our ranges.
Club Membership
New members (looking to) or interested in joining us at DAC should apply to join the waiting list by contacting the Club Secretary by email at dlowrie@webblowrie.co.uk.
Juniors are always welcome at DAC but must be under the supervision of a full club member and be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times when visiting or shooting at the club.
Club Facilities
We have a Target (informal paper and knockdown target shooting) range and a competition course laid out as required, We also have a covered firing point on our Target range to accommodate both rifle and pistol shooters. At DAC we are well versed on hosting competitions at the club and Inter-Club Competitions.
Club facilities are open to members 365 days a year (when you become a key-holder+ weather permitting). The Target range is just down from our competition grounds upon entry to the range next to the club hut.
Range Sessions:
The club does not have set days for actives, the range is open while a key-holder is present at the range.
A full member must be present when probationary members are attending the range. During the winter months it is advised to check opening times or notices on this website if the range is closed for any reason relating to weather or otherwise.
